Kari Matchett (born on March 25, 1970 in Spalding, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian actress in TV and film.
In Canada her first major starring role was as Colleen Blessed in Power Play (1998-2000). Her next major role was as Detective Elaine Bender in Blue Murder in 2004. Previously, in 2001, she played an unrelated character in the same show (Blue Murder), appearing as a suspect in serial killing investigation.
In the US, she is often known for her former recurring role in A Nero Wolfe Mystery (2001-2002), as well as several guest appearances on Earth: Final Conflict.
Her most recent work was on the ABC TV series, Invasion which premiered in the fall of 2005. The series was about aliens apparently taking the form of humans.
Her most notable film role was in a movie about curling, Men with Brooms in 2002.
Kari studied at the National Theatre School in Montreal, Quebec and the Moscow Theatre School. She performed on stage for three years in Stratford.
